10 Stunning Game Of Thrones Locations You Can Visit
Game of thrones is undoubtedly the world’s favourite. From outstanding actors to daring dire wolves, fierce dragons and evil wight walkers. We haven’t even mentioned the beautiful locations selected for sceneries. I fell in love with the show even though I only began watching the series after a friend cajoled me to. I don’t regret my decision to join the GOT family.
No doubt, we can’t pick out a single episode of Game of Thrones that has not used any CGI whatsoever. Every season is made up of locations, sets, ships, exotic backgrounds, pretty or dilapidated castle exteriors and thousands of soldiers in battle. We are not excluding the horses, dragons, sparrows, giants and Wight Walkers. All these are largely computer generated. But then, behind every CGI, is an actual castle, city, location and not mere imaginations as you’ll say for the wight walkers.
STUNNING LOCATIONS IN GOT THAT ARE ACTUALLY REAL
King’s Landing, Dorne, the Iron Isles, the North and others are all real locations scattered across countries in selected continents. These locations are not just real, they are located in places you can easily visit for the the fun of it.
1. DUBROVNIK, CROATIA: King’s Landing
Pretty much everyone wonders what Kings landing, the center of Westros looks like in real life. Our favourite city, the shelter of the Iron throne is shot in Dubrovnik, a city in southern Croatia. The Minceta tower in Dubrovnik also portrays the House of the Undying in Qarth.

The Iron Bank is the richest bank in the known world as GOT portrays it. It funds the Iron throne and several other rulers across the 7 kingdoms. It’s located in the free city of Braavos on the show but Sibenik, a city in Croatia in real life.
